Qualcomm Announces its Next Flagship Chip Launch Event in China: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 / Snapdragon 8s Elite Likely to be Unveiled

Qualcomm – the American semi-conductor company has now announced its next launch event in China to unveil its upcoming flagship chip. From what it seems, this could be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 / Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset.

Qualcomm’s Upcoming Flagship Chip – Launching on 2nd April 2025 in China
Followed by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ flagship chip launch confirmation, Qualcomm has also announced the launch of its upcoming flagship chip. The launch event will be conducted on the 2nd of April 2025 in China, however the moniker of this flagship chip hasn’t been shared. Based on reports and assumptions, this upcoming Snapdragon flagship chip is believed to be the next Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 / Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset.
Speaking more, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 / Snapdragon 8s Elite chip is said to be made using TSMC’s 4nm process technology, and its architecture will be comprising of all-big-cores as per reports. A Cortex X4 core clocked at 3.21 GHz, three Cortex A720 cores clocked at 3.01 GHz, two Cortex A720 cores clocked at 2.80 GHz, and two Cortex A720 cores clocked at 2.02 GHz are expected to be part of its core configuration. Adreno 825 GPU, 6MB SLC (System Level Cache), 8MB L3 cache, and 2 million+ AnTuTu benchmark score are its other expected specs or features.
In related news, Qualcomm this month in March 2025 has already unveiled its Snapdragon G series gaming platform 2025 lineup. Three chipsets were unveiled – Snapdragon G3 Gen 3, Snapdragon G2 Gen 2, and Snapdragon G1 Gen 2, and these are going to power upcoming handheld gaming devices.
