MediaTek Announced Dimensity 6300 Processor Empowering Mainstream 5G Smartphones With Faster Games, Impressive Cameras

MediaTek has announced a new processor in the Dimensity 6000 family. This is a Dimensity 6300 processor that is said to empower mainstream 5G smartphones with faster gaming and cameras. The processor is fabbed using the TSMC N6(6nm) process. Its octa-core CPU cluster consists of two high-performance 2.4GHz based Arm Cortex-A76 architecture and six 2.0GHz cores with Cortex-A55 architecture. This 64-bit processor comes with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate display with 2520 x 1080p resolution.

The processor supports Wi-Fi 5 (a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth 5.2 and is compatible with BeiDou B1I+ B2a, Glonass L1OF, Galileo E1 + E5a, NavIC-like geo navigating systems. Now coming on to the modem it can reach the peak download speed of up to 3.3Gbps on a 5G network utilising a maximum of 140MHz cellular spectrum. It is also compatible with the low-band ENDC and 8-layer DL MIMO technologies. With its integrated ISP it can support up to a single 108 MP camera or two 16 MP sensors. It has the maximum RAM speed support up to 2133MHz for LPDDR4x and it supports UFS 2.2 storage.

MediaTek Dimensity 6300

This new processor in the family is not new in many terms. It is very similar to the Dimensity 6100+ that is also fabbed on the TSMC 6nm process. The difference point is in the frequency of the two high-performance cores Cortex A76 architecture of the processor. The Dimensity 6100+ came with AI-driven features though there was no such mention with the recently launched Dimensity 6300 processor. The recently announced Dimensity 6300 processor is expected to debut with the Realme C65 smartphone that the company just recently teased in India.
