Citroen eC3 Electric All Set For The Launch Next Month
Prior to its launch in February 2023, the India-focused Citroen eC3 was formally unveiled, with reservations beginning on January 22. According to the manufacturer, it has a 29.2kWh battery pack with a 320km ARAI-rated range.
Although the teaser doesn’t disclose many details about the next Citroen e-capabilities, C3’s the eC3’s electric powertrain is capable of producing 57PS and 143Nm. Citroen claims that the EV can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 6.8 seconds. The electric hatchback’s top speed is limited to 107 kmph.
The Citroen eC3 looks identical to its petrol-powered counterpart inside out. The absence of an exhaust and a new charging outlet on the front fender is the only cosmetic changes. Other outer body panels, the interior, and the C3’s mechanical components, all of which have previously been localized for the C3 with a petrol-powered engine, remain the same. This was done to reduce the eC3’s costs, and sharing parts and components with the ICE version will improve economies of scale.

Citroen claims that the eC3 has a top speed of 107 kph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 kph in 6.8 seconds. It can be charged via DC Fast Charging, which can complete a 10- to 80-percent charge in 57 minutes. The battery can be recharged from 10 to 100 percent at home in 10.5 hours. In addition, he is giving the battery pack a 7-year/1,40,000 km warranty, the electric motor a 5-year/1,00,000 km warranty, and the car itself a 3-year/1,25,000 km warranty. As standard safety features, the Citroen e-C3 may have dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, a high-speed alert system, and a speed-sensitive automatic door locking system.
Prior to the e-impending C3’s arrival in the Indian market, French automaker Citroen teased the vehicle online. The Citroen e-C3 will be the automaker’s first electric vehicle in India. The price of the upcoming EV is unknown, but it may be kept low to entice buyers.
