The main change that one will notice on the all-new 2023 i20 facelift is its front design. The all-new 2023 i20 facelift brings a new bumper, front grille, a new seat of headlamps and a new pair of side intakes. The third generation i20 had already been praised for its sporty looks and these new design updates brought to the facelift have made it more sportier on the front.
Changes have also been brought at the rear with an updated rear bumper and a much more noticeable rear skid plate. Adding to the sportier look, the company has also added various blank elements contrasting with its body colour. A five-pointed star-shaped allow wheels of 16″ and 17″ are also part of the 2023 i20 facelift.
In the global market, the newly introduced i20 facelift will receive three colour choices, and customers will be able to select from Lucid Lime Metallic, Lumen Grey Pearl and Meta Blue Pearl colour options.
Now coming to its interior, the global variant appears to have similar interior design features to its previous models, with a 10.25″ digital driver’s display, a 10.25″ touch-screen infotainment system and a wireless charging unit, among others. However, LED cabin lights and multi-coloured ambient lighting are all new additions. The Lucid Lime colour variant will also be receiving similar coloured cabin elements as well.
As far as the engine is concerned, the i20 facelift is to offer the same 1-litre turbo petrol engine with options to 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT automatic gearshifts in the global market. When it arrives in the Indian market, it should probably retain the 1.2-litre petrol engine with 5-speed manual or CVT automatic gearshift options.
The new i20 facelift is expected to start its sales in the global market in the third quarter of this year and as mentioned is likely to arrive on the Indian market by late 2023. By then we’ll be able to know more about its features and its price points.
The i20 facelift is here! A car that already looks so good, made even nicer looking – especially in this crazy lime green shade (which we doubt will make it to India..)
