Maruti Suzuki Invicto Shows Up At Dealerships Ahead Of Its Launch
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto has started arriving at the dealership centres as the launch is near. The launch is scheduled for the 5th of July and the booking has already started. The Maruti Suzuki Invicto will be available in strong hybrid variants. Variant badging will be absent on the tailgate.
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto MPV is a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross. The Innova Hycross is a third-generation vehicle of the Toyota Innova. The Toyota Innova is a series of MPVs manufactured by Toyota since 2004. The Innova Hycross is the name of the vehicle that launched in India on November 2, 2022.
The Maruti Suzuki Invicto is a 7-seater MPV and it will be the flagship model of Maruti Suzuki after the launch. Maruti has made some changes to help differentiate it from Toyota’s version.
The MPV features a new trapezoidal grille with a chrome bar and a redesigned front bumper with LED daytime running lights. It is also equipped with newly designed alloy wheels.
The Maruti Invicto will come with a single strong hybrid powertrain option. The 2-liter 4-cylinder petrol-hybrid engine develops 183 BHP and it will be paired with an e-CVT.
Toyota will be manufacturing the Invicto alongside the Innova Hycross at its manufacturing facility in Bidadi, outside of Banglore, Karnataka. The prices of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto MPV are expected to be revealed on the 5th of July, 2023.
This MPV is the first rebadged Toyota vehicle for Maruti. Since the Toyota-Suzuki alliance in 2017, the vehicles that Suzuki produced, like the Vitara Brezza compact SUV and Baleno, were cross-badged and sold as the Toyota Urban Cruiser and the Glanza, respectively, in India.
The latest-gen Baleno, Ciaz, Ertiga, and Celerio are sold as Toyotas in the South African and Middle East markets. Now the upcoming MPV will be the first Toyota vehicle that will be rebadged for Maruti Suzuki.
