The Sonet X-Line has just been introduced by Kia Motors. Costs for the 1.0 turbo petrol version ex-showroom start at Rs. 13.39 lakh, and prices for the 1.5 turbo diesel variant start at Rs. Both models of the Kia Sonet X-Line are based on top-end automatic trims. The Kia Sonet receives a visual boost with the X-Line trim. The Matte Graphite paint scheme, Sage dual tone interiors, new 16-inch alloy wheels, a gloss black grille, and art leather sports seats with orange stitching are all included in the X-Line upgrade. The Sonet is a popular sub-4 metre compact SUV in India, and the X-Line option is designed to keep the car excited.
The Sonet X-1 Line’s litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged engine produces a maximum of 172 Nm of peak torque and 118 Bhp of maximum power. The front wheels are powered by a 7-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission that goes with this engine. The 1.5 litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that powers the Sonet X-Line produces 115 bhp and 250 nm of output. With this engine, a torque converter automatic gearbox with 6 speeds is available.
Bookings for the 2022 Sonet X-Line are currently being accepted at all Indian Kia dealerships. Customers can reserve the SUV online as well. Kia sells more X-Line models in addition to the Sonet. The Seltos is additionally available in X-Line trim. The Seltos is a significantly larger SUV than the Sonet and comes with a stronger 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine as an option. The top-end trims of the Sonet and Seltos, however, use the same 1.5-litre diesel engine. In the sub-4 metre compact SUV market, the Kia Sonet is in direct competition with the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, and Renault Kiger. Although the Sonet can accommodate five people, it’s best used as a four-person vehicle because three adults can feel fairly crowded on the rear bench.
