Toyota Innova Zenix is to be released in early 2023 in India

The present Innova model, known as the Innova Crysta and sold in India, may cohabit with the future generation Innova that Toyota is currently developing. The company’s seven-seater MPV is a very well-liked vehicle both domestically and in many foreign nations. Additionally, the Innova HyCross trademark, which has previously been registered in India, might be used by the third-generation vehicle.

Given that the name of the soon-to-be-released Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder was trademarked in India and resonates with the hybrid nature of the SUV, the Innova HyCross might be utilized for our home market. Later this year, the Innova will premiere in Southeast Asia, according to a recent web article.

According to prior Innova Kijang reports in the media, the name “Innova Zenix” will be used instead of the one reportedly chosen. The name Innova Zenix was registered by the Japanese company Toyota Motor Corporation in 2020 at the PDKI Kemenkumham, and Otodriver earlier claimed that the name will be used for all varieties of the model (hybrid and non-hybrid).
It’s predicted that India will host the launch of the new Toyota Innova Hybrid early in 2019. The IMV2 ladder frame, which supports the modern Innova Crysta, is shared with the Fortuner and the Hilux. However, as it might be constructed using the TNGA-C modular monocoque construction, the future MPV will probably go for a front-wheel-drive configuration that is more traditional.

Compared to the existing Innova Crysta, the new car will look different, have a longer wheelbase, and have more interior space. In contrast to the current model, the 2022 Toyota Innova Zenix will be constructed on a modern monocoque platform with front-wheel drive. The new architecture is reportedly built on Toyota’s global TNGA-C/GA-C platform.

The interior of the upcoming Toyota Hybrid MPV will be larger than the Innova Crysta and have a wheelbase that is 2850 mm longer. The look and design of the car will be influenced by the brand-new Veloz MPV. In comparison to the existing Toyota Innova Crysta, it will stand out thanks to its more modern styling and crossover-like attitude.
