Xiaomi SU7 Models Finally Unveiled
It is after a long wait and a period of deep anticipation that Xiaomi has released its SU7 models in the brand’s home country. As mentioned, four variants are available for the EV – SU7, SU7 Pro, SU7 Max, and SU7 limited Founder’s Edition. Do note that these models will be competing with other well-known EV models that are already available in market, and this includes Tesla EVs as well.
Speaking of Xiaomi’s new EV models, all of them feature the same sedan-shaped body with two doors each on the left and right sides. They will measure 4,997(length) x 1,963(width) x 1,455(height) mm in size, along with standard 19″ Michelin alloy wheels on all the models.
Coming to the performance side, the SU7 Max is capable of reaching a top speed of 265 kmph and will reach 0-100 kmph in 2.78 seconds. A range of up to 810 km is expected on a single charge. On the other hand, the limited Founder’s Edition is more quicker than the SU7 Max and it can reach 0-100 kmph in just 1.98 seconds. Dual-motors and a four-wheel-drive powertrain of the limited Founder’s Edition model also notably delivers a power of around 986 bhp.
Regarding the battery, two battery options are available – 73.6 kWh and 101 kWh packs for the base models and top-end model respectively (partnered with CATL). At the least, 700 km range can be expected on both the batteries. There is also a 150 kWh battery pack option that the brand plans to introduce next year, claiming a range of about 1,200 km. Fast charging features with 486V and 871V innovative architectures are again notable specs. 350 km and 510 km range are promised on the two respectively with a 15 minute charge.
Other key specs are Apple CarPlay & iPad connectivity and ADAS(advanced driver-assistance systems) including Xiaomi Pilot Pro & Xiaomi Pilot Max.
