Insta360’s First 8K Camera Launched In Market At The Price Of $500

Insta360 has launched the company’s first 8K 360° camera Insta360 X4. This new camera comes with the capability to record 8K videos at 30fps and can use a more efficient H.265 codec thus maintaining the quality and compressing the video. To handle the extra resolution it comes with a maximum bitrate of 200Mbps. It is powered by a 2,290mAh battery that is rated for 75 minutes of 8K footage and 135 minutes of 5.7K footage.

The new X4 supports recording of 5.7K at 60 frames per second and 4K recording at 100 frames per second. Its predecessor was limited to 4K at 60fps and 5.7K at 30fps. Its single-lens mode lets you shoot 4K at 60fps. The X4 comes with a 2.9-inch wide touchscreen display that is bigger than its predecessor which came with a 2.29-inch display. The new camera. You will also get to see an enhancement in the me mode that keeps you in the frame. With Me Mode you can now record 4K at 30fps which is up from 1080p that X3 could record in Me Mode. The MaxView which records with a 170° FoV, can now record in 4K at 60fps, up from 30fps and the Timelapse video can now be recorded in 11K up from 8K.

Now coming on to its durability, strength, and resistance the Insta360 X4 fish eye lenses stay protected by removable lens guards. With an invisible dive case the new camera can go up to 50m/164ft underwater while without a case it can go up to 10m/33ft. It can withstand up to -20°C/-4°F making it the best camera companion for skiing.

The Insta360 X4 is available on the company’s official site and on Amazon at the price of $500 in the US and €560 in Europe. And if you bundle it up with the Invisible Diving Bundle the price goes up to $680/€767 and with the GPS bundle it goes for $711/€806.
