The Taiwanese consumer electronics maker, ASUS, has launched many of its new gaming devices globally, and along with it, the brand has also introduced nine new gaming laptops as well.

Latest ASUS 2024 Gaming Laptops
ROG Phantom 16 Air
The ROG Phantom 16 Air laptop is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 185H processor, and has an Intel exclusive AI chip NPU. It comes with optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or 4060 GPU. A 32GB LPDDR5X RAM(7467 MHz) and 1TB PCle 4.0 dual M.2 SSD is also onboard.
A ROG Glacier Cooling Architecture 3.0 is also equipped within the device, featuring three fans, new fiber mesh heat pipe, second generation Arc Flow fan, liquid metal, and the ROG intelligent noise reduction technology.
Speaking of the display, the device has a 16″ screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.5K resolution, and 88.4% screen to body ratio. NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, DisplayHDR, 240Hz/0.2ms fast response, 500 nits brightness rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio are some of the other display specs.
An extra large touchpad with 240Hz sampling rate, 1080p IR camera supporting face recognition, 6 speakers with 47% increased volume, Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos, and 90Wh large battery are also part of the system.
ASUS’ ROG Phantom 16 Air laptop has an Invisible Shaft design, and is 1.49 cm thin and has a 1.85 kg weight. It has a thin aluminum alloy body with 12-pass precision forging. Two color variants are available – Platinum Moon White and Eclipse Gray (with customizable light matrix).
ROG Phantom 14 Air
The ROG Phantom 14 Air is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 8000 series processor, integrated with optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or 4070 GPUs. It also supports dual-display and three-mode hot switching. AMD Ryzen AI and Windows Studio Effects are also part of the system. It also comes with the ROG Glacier Cooling Architecture 3.0.
For its display, it has a 14″ display panel with 16:10 aspect ratio, 3K resolution, and 87.3% screen to body ratio. Again, the 120Hz/0.2ms fast response, 500 nits brightness rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio are also supported by the display.
Other specs include the 240Hz sampling rate, extra large touchpad, 1080 IR camera with face recognition, six speaker units with 252% increased volume, Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos, and a 73Wh battery.
The ROG Phantom 14 Air also features an Invisible Shaft design, and has a thin aluminum alloy body with 12-pass precision forging. It is 1.59 cm thin and weighs 1.5 kg. The same color choices of Platinum Moon White and Eclipse Gray are also available for this model.
ROG 16
The ASUS ROG 16 has the 13th Gen Core i9-13900H processor with RTX 4090 or 4080 GPU. It also supports dual displays and three-mode hot switching, along with 145W high power consumption. The CPU and GPU whole machine release is 160W. A 2 slot design is also present on the device, with 32GB DDR5 high speed memory and maximum support of 64GB.
Adding to the performance, it features a ROG Glacier Cooling Architecture 3.0 system, and is equipped with liquid metal thermal conductivity, three dust proof fans, seven heat pipes, and fan dust cover. The system also have 319 pieces of 0.1mm ice wing fins, and ROG intelligent noise reduction technology as well.
Regarding the display, it is of 16″ and has an aspect ratio of 16:10. It also has a resolution of 2.5K, refresh rate of 240Hz, latency of 3ms, peak brightness of 1100 nits, and a 100% P3 wide color gamut. The display also supports DisplayHDR 1000 and NVIDIA G-Sync. With a 92% display and narrow bezels on four sides, an immersive display experience is assured.
Other features are the FHD IR camera which supports face recognition, six speakers(intelligent two-way speakerphone), 3D microphone matrix, Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos, 180° opening & closing, 19.9mm thickness, 2.3kg weight, Thunderbolt 4, AniMe Matrix light display matrix, and Interstellar Black color luxury border. The device is also backed by a 90Wh battery and supports a 100W PD fast charging feature.
ROG Phantom 14
The ASUS ROG Phantom 14 has a standard AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS mobile processor and optional NVIDIA RTX 4090/ 4080 GPU. It also supports standard configuration of 32GB DDR5 RAM(expandable to 48GB) and 1TB PCle 4.0 SSD. The device also packs the ROG Glacier 2.0 Enhance Version for better stable performance.
The display has a 16:10 golden ratio with a screen size of 14″. The display supports a resolution of 2.5K, 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms latency, 500 nits brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 91% high screen to body ratio, and NVIDIA G-Sync.
Other features include the AniMe Matrix, FHD IR camera supporting face recognition, two-way AI intelligent noise reduction, Wi-Fi, Dolby Vision & Atmos, 76Wh battery with 100 PD fast charging, 18.5mm thickness, and 1.65kg weight.
ROG Gunslinger 8 Super Racing Series
The Gunslinger 8 Super Racing Series comes with an i9-14900 NH processor(5.8 GHz), with optional GeForce RTX 4090/ 4080 GPU. Both the CPU and GPU also uses the second generation liquid metal thermal conductivity, and brings optional 64GB DDR5 RAM(5600 MHz) and optional 2TB PCle 4.0 with reserved M.2 for easy expansion. The system also supports the ROG Glacier Cooling Architecture 3.0.
Coming to the display, it has a Mini LED 2.5K 240Hz 3ms 100% DCI-P3 display with our 2000 backlight partitions. NVIDIA G-Sync and 1100 nits brightness are also supported by the display. The display has a 16:10 aspect ratio and 90% screen-to-body ratio, with two screen size options of 16″ and 18″.

For assuring a stable and better performance, the laptop also supports ROG Glacier Bulk Scale 3.0 and Conductonaut Extreme second-generation liquid metal thermal conductivity. 16GB RAM (5600 MHZ, 64GB expansion) and 1TB PCle 4.0 storage are also present.
Speaking of the display, it has a 2.5K resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio with two screen sizes of 16″ and 18″. NVIDIA G-Sync and 500 nits high brightness are also supported on the device.

ROG Demon Fighter Strix
The ROG Demon Fighter Strix laptop is powered by i9-13980HX CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. It also has the ROG Ice and Heat Architecture 3.0 and its CPU makes use of the Conductonaut Extreme Second Generation Liquid Metal Thermal Conductivity. There is also a 16GB DDR5 RAM(with dual slot for 64GB expansion) and a 1TB PCle 4.0 SSD(with M.2 for easy expansion).
The gaming laptop also features a 16″ 2.5K 240Hz 3ms display supporting color gamut switching DC dimming. NVIDIA G-Sync and 500 nits high brightness are also supported by the display. The display has a 16:10 aspect ratio, 90% screen-to-body ratio, and a built-in HD camera.

ROG Magic 7 Plus Super Edition
The ROG Magic 7 Plus Super Edition has the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D processor onboard, with the RTX 4090/ RTX 4080 laptop GPUs. The device also have a customized vapor chamber, and a ROG Glacier diffuser. Both the CPU and GPU also uses the Conductonaut Extreme second-generation liquid metal heat conduction. Optional 2x16GB DDR5 RAM (dual slot expandable to up to 64GB) and 1TB PCle 4.0 SSD storage (M.2 easy expansion) are also present.
The display is a 17.3″ 2.5K 240Hz screen with quick response of 3ms, 100% P3 wide color gamut, NVIDIA G-Sync, and HD camera.
The single button RGB light effect with light synchronization, Black luminous logo, Wi-Fi, Dolby Vision & Atmos, dual AMP smart speakers, 90Wh battery, and 100W PD fast charge are the other specs.
ROG Magic 7 Plus
The ROG Magic 7 Plus is equipped with an optional AMD Ryzen 916 Core processor, and carries RTX 4070/ 4060 GPU. A ROG Glacier cooling structure and the Conductonaut Extreme second generation liquid metal thermal conductivity adds in offering a stable performance. Optional 16GB DDR5 RAM (dual slot support for 64GB RAM expansion) and standard 1TB PCle 4.0 SSD are also on the device.
About the display, it is 17.3″ large with 2.5K resolution. 3ms quick response, 100% P3 wide color gamut, NVIDIA G-Sync, and an HD camera are also present.
Wi-Fi connectivity, one-touch RGB lighting effects (divine light synchronization), Aura Sync, Luminous logo, Dolby Vision & Atmos, 90Wh battery, and 100W PD fast charge support are additional features. To add, the device comes in an Eclipse Gray color.
Price
The Gunslinger 8 Plus Super Competition Edition with RTX 4090 GPU has an initial price of CNY 27,999, while the 4080 GPU variant has an initial pricing of CNY 20,999. The RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 GPU variants of the Gunslinger 8 Super Competition Edition have initial pricings of CNY 22,999 and CNY 18,999 respectively.
The Gunslinger 8 Plus Normal Edition comes with price points of CNY 13,999 and CNY 12,499 for the RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 variants. On the other hand, the Gunslinger 8 Normal Edition 4070 and RTX 4060 variants are priced CNY 12,999 and CNY 11,499.
