Meta Quest 3 officially announced, will be available from fall 2023 at $499
Thursday, 1 June 2023, saw the official announcement of the new Wireless Quest 3 VR/MR Headset. Meta launched this next-generation virtual and mixed-reality headset at a price of $499.
Meta plans on launching the Meta Quest 3 in the latter half of this year. The Meta Quest 3 is set to come in with a more slimmer and comfortable design factor.
Anticipators from countries that have the Meta Quest supported can expect the headset by this year’s fall. The manufacturers are going to provide extra storage capacity for people with additional storage needs.
Information about this and other Meta products would also be revealed in the upcoming Meta Connect, which would take place on September 27.
Meta confirmed that they have combined their highest-resolution display with pancake optics to facilitate better content viewing than ever. This device is a good-to-go option for beginners considering the price factor of the device. Considering the price of $499 one cannot expect delivery of up to 5000 nits. Meta confirmed this today as there were rumors of the headset being featured with 5,000 nits of brightness.
What’s attractive about the Meta Quest 3 is that the device would be the first headset to feature a next-generation Snapdragon chipset. Meta has brought this in as a collaborative result with Qualcomm Technologies. Compared to Quest 2, Quest 3 would deliver twice the graphical performance of the former.
