Alleged Honor Play 50 Plus bags 3C certification, key specifications tipped
A new Honor phone with model number CLK-AN00 has been approved by China’s 3C authority. According to a Chinese tipster, this device will arrive as an Honor Play series phone in the Chinese market.
The Honor CLK-AN00’s 3C certification has revealed that it may ship with a 35W charger. Some reports claimed that it could be the Honor X50 GT phone. To recall, the Honor X40 GT, which went official in October 2022, is an upper mid-range phone that supports 66W fast charging. The charging capabilities of the Honor CLK-AN00 suggest that it could be a mid-range phone.
According to a tipster, the CLK-AN00 will be called the Honor Play 50 Plus when it arrives in the Chinese market. Hence, it will arrive as a successor to the Honor Play 40 Plus, which was announced in October last year. With 3C certification under its belt, it appears that the Play 50 Plus may debut as early as the end of August or in September.
The tipster further revealed that the Honor 50 Play Plus will be equipped with a Full HD+ display, a 6,000mAh battery, and a Dimensity 700 chipset. Apart from these details, nothing else is known about the device.
In related news, Honor is soon going to return to the smartphone market in India. The brand will make a comeback by announcing the Honor 90 smartphone. It is speculated that the device will launch with a price tag of around Rs 45,000 in September in India.
