Alleged Redmi K70 Pro to feature 50MP main camera, 3.2x telephoto camera

Reports have revealed that the upcoming Redmi K-series has three phones with codenames such as Ingress, Vermeer, and Manet. These devices are expected to break cover as the Redmi K70e, Redmi K70, and Redmi K70 Pro. Reports surrounding these devices have claimed that they will come equipped with the Dimensity 8300, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station shared some information about the primary and telephoto cameras of the K70 Pro.

As per the latest leak, the Redmi K70 Pro will be equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera. It will be accompanied by a telephoto camera with a 3.2x optical zoom. It appears that the device is equipped with the Sony IMX707 as the primary camera. There is no information available about the ultra-wide camera of the device.

The Redmi K70 and K70 Pro will both have a 2K OLED panel from China-based CSOT, according to a previous Weibo post by DCS. Even the standard K70 is expected to feature a telephoto camera. Both phones are likely to pack a 5,500mAh battery, with the K70 offering 90W fast charging and the Pro model supporting 120W rapid charging. The K70 Pro is also expected to feature a metallic frame.

The Redmi K70 series is expected to come preloaded with MIUI 14-based Android 14. However, these will be one of the first devices to get the MIUI 15 upgrade. At present, there is no information available about the Redmi K70e. Reports have claimed that the K70 and K70 Pro may get rebranded as the POCO F6 and POCO F6 Pro in the global market.
