An Upcoming HTC Smartphone Clears Bluetooth SIG Certification: Here’s What We Know
Taiwan-based consumer electronics manufacturer, HTC is to launch a new smartphone and the smartphone has received the Bluetooth SIG certification.
Here’s more about it.
Upcoming HTC Smartphone Receives Bluetooth SIG Certification
A recent report reveals that an upcoming HTC smartphone has received the Bluetooth SIG certification and three variants of the smartphone with three model numbers have been listed on the certification platform.
The upcoming HTC device has appeared on the certification platform with model numbers 2QC9200, 2QC9100, and 2QCB100. The report also states that, since the smartphone has appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification in three model numbers, the device can be expected to have its launch in at least three countries or regions.
The smartphone is also expected to be a mid-range smartphone and from its Bluetooth SIG certification, has been confirmed to support a Bluetooth version of 5.2
The report also hints that the device will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and its Bluetooth certification has also revealed that it will support FastConnect 6700. Since Qualcomm’s high-end chipsets like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and Snapdragon 888 chipsets support FastConnect 6900, the chances of the device coming equipped with these chipsets is absolutely zero.
Based on information from the official website of Qualcomm, currently, only three chipsets are available which support FastConnect 6700 and the list includes the Snapdragon 778, Snapdragon 778+, and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipsets.
So with this, it can be assumed that HTC will launch its newly listed mid-range smartphone with any one of these Qualcomm chipsets and after the long wait, we will indeed get to see a new HTC smartphone being launched.
