Apple is reportedly testing punch hole version of iPhone 16 Pro models
Cupertino-based tech giant Apple will launch the iPhone 16 series next year. Despite being far away from the actual launch the rumor mill has begun churning information about it. Recently an X user named Majin Bu wrote on X that Apple is testing the iPhone 16 Pro hole punch version. The user also mentioned that this may not be finalized and the details will depend on March next year.
Furthermore, the user wrote that “most likely we won’t see such a version until the iPhone 17”.

This is not the first time that the iPhone 16 Pro model is expected to come with a single punch-hole cutout. Earlier this year a Korean outlet The Elec also said something similar that the iPhone 16 Pro will feature an under-display Face ID and a single cutout for a front-facing camera next year. If it turns out to be true iPhone 16 Pro models can come with punch hole cutouts and then later vanilla iPhone 17 models can come with this.
Take this post with a pinch of salt because if something is being tested it doesn’t mean that it will be launched.
The iPhone 16 Pro models are also expected to come with WiFi 7 support and a 48 MP ultra-wide camera on its rear. This can enable iPhone 16 Pro models to send and receive data faster than before. The iPhone 16 series is also tipped to arrive with a vertical camera layout similar to the iPhone 12.
