Apple is reportedly working on zero bezel display iPhone and unibody glass body at same time
Apple is reportedly working on a bezel-less iPhone claimed a tipster named Ice Universe on Twitter or X. Tipster has also attached a render with the post that shows zero bezel display which might have Face ID/Dynamic Island all under the display. If the render is even close to what Apple is working on, it would not only be a revolution but also an awesome phone to use. The further tipster mentioned that Apple has asked its display partners Samsung and LG to develop new OLED panels without bezels.
BREAKING! Apple is working on a 0-bezel iPhone! Looks like Cook is a fan of mine and he hates bezels as much as I do.
According to sources, Apple asked Samsung Display and LG Display to develop OLED screens without bezels at all, completely eliminating bezels and using UPC… pic.twitter.com/mP6QgOeoPw— ICE UNIVERSE (@UniverseIce) July 24, 2023
Apple’s interest in the minimum bezel and reports around iPhone 15 Pro to come with a thinner bezel somehow support this claim. But a zero bezel or bezel-less display report has come out for the first time though not confirmed. Ice Universe also claimed that Apple is developing a unibody glass body at the same time using “ultra-strong and strong glass”. It would be a major change from what Apple is working on which is a strong body made from aluminum, metal, and titanium.
Apple’s material scientists team has earlier worked on developing ceramic and all-gold original Apple Watch Edition and now they might be working on iPhone if the claim is right. It’s possible that the glass model discussed in the post can be ceramic glass whose speculations were on the rise when the first Apple ceramic Apple Watch Edition was released in 2016. Even if Apple comes with such a phone it won’t be the first because Xiaomi’s Mi Mix series has featured ceramic unibody.
