Apple unveiled its iPhone 15 series devices back in the month of September 2023, last year. This year is going to witness the debut of the next iPhone 16 series devices and as always, rumors and updates regarding the upcoming devices are being shared over and over again.
A recent update has revealed more new concept design renders of the vanilla iPhone 16 device and one of the notable elements is its possible new camera module – a pill-shaped one.

Apple iPhone 16 – Concept Renders Revealed
When compared to the recently launched iPhone 15 smartphone, these render images appear to be similar to the new model. The front display looks almost the same with the Dynamic Island notch, flat side panels with rounded corners are also the same, as well as the flat back.
The one main difference is the pill-shaped camera module. The iPhone 15 camera module is square in shape with curved edges and the two cameras were placed in upper-left and lower-right corners (slantingly) respectively. The flash is also inside the camera module.
The new concept design provides us with a camera module which as mentioned is pill-shaped, with two of its cameras arranged vertically. The LED flashlight is outside the camera module, at the right.
As suggested, all the other elements too appear to be in the same position as in the iPhone 15 smartphone, and this goes for the earpiece speaker, USB type-C charging port, speaker/microphone grilles, action button, side button, volume buttons, and card tray. However, there is an additional lower-side button given on the right, and it’s unclear what the purpose of this button is.
The render images also portray the iPhone 16 device in multiple colors, as was the case with the new iPhone 15-series models, giving an idea on how the device would look like with this pill-shaped island while coming in many color choices.
Speaking of some previous updates, the iPhone 16 model is expected to use the brand’s Bionic A18 processor made with TSMC’s 3nm process technology. Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 dual versions, 48MP primary camera, and 5x zoom capability are some of the other expected specifications.
