Are we to witness the launch of Pixel 7a smartphone at the Google I/O 2023 event on May 10?

Google might be getting ready to launch Pixel 7a at the I/O 2023 event on 10th May. If the news about the launch is correct and leaks around this phone’s features and design are true this phone will be way ahead of its predecessor 6a.

Colour options

Few days back tipster Paras Guglani leaked information about the colour option of the Pixel 7a phone. If this information is right we will see this phone in five different colour options which are Dinuguan Black, Crispy Kale, Mayo Cream, Tide Orange, and Vibrant Ube. Rather than coming in only three colour options like its predecessor Pixel 6a, this move will give more freedom to customers to pick the best features in the best colour.

Storage and RAM

This phone is tipped to come with 256GB internal storage accompanied by 8GB RAM. You would get to see double storage and more RAM than its predecessor 6a which came with 128GB internal storage and 6GB RAM.

Camera

This phone is expected to feature a dual camera setup on the rear side of the phone with a 64 MP Sony IMX787 primary camera and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. The front side of the phone can come with a 10.8 MP camera. While 6a came with just an 8 MP front camera, Google’s plan to add a 10.8 MP front camera in 7a similar to Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro sounds cool.

Other features and information

The phone’s render design suggests a metallic visor-like camera module on the back that we get to see in Pixel phones. This phone can come with a 6.1-inch wide OLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and Full HD + resolution. This phone will be powered by a Google Tensor SoC chip which is Google’s custom-designed chip. This phone will run Android 13 out of the box. It is likely to arrive in India in the coming weeks after I/O 2023 debut. The smartphone has been spotted on various websites, including FCC and Bluetooth SIG, indicating that its launch is imminent. According to LiveMint Apple is working on iPhone SE 4 to compete with Google Pixel 7a which is going to make the competition more interesting than ever before.
