ASUS will be unveiling its latest ROG Phone 8 series devices soon, and the vanilla ROG Phone 8 model has now received the IMDA certification from Singapore.
Here’s more about it.
ASUS ROG Phone 8 – IMDA Certification
The ASUS ROG Phone 8 smartphone bearing the model number – “ASUS_AI2401_D” has been listed on the IMDA database, and the device is categorized as a mobile phone with 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and WPC connectivity supports.

To add, the ROG Phone 8(with a different model number) has also been certified by the NBTC certification authority.
Both these smartphones of the ROG Phone 8 series will be unveiled at the brand’s Transcendence Virtual Launch Event on the 8th of January 2024. On the same day, the ROG Phone 8 will also be launched for the Indian market (no pro model). A day later, the two upcoming and soon-to-be-launched smartphones will be presented at the CES 2024 Event too in Las Vegas.
Regarding the specs, the ROG Phone 8 will be having a new camera system at its rear with three cameras and an LED flashlight. The display screen will also have a centrally-aligned punch-hole cutout with slimmer bezels. On the performance side, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is confirmed for the device, and it will likely be having the latest Android 14 operating system onboard.
The brand might obviously be revealing more features and teasing the new smartphones until its official launch. Stay tuned and don’t miss them out.
