Dimensity 9300 Plus could be announced on May 7, Vivo X100s series, Redmi K70 Ultra to feature it
MediaTek has officially confirmed that it will hold the MediaTek Developers Conference on May 7 in China. The event is expected to see the arrival of a new chip dubbed the Dimensity 9300 Plus. As the name implies, the D9300+ could be an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9300, which powers the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro.
The Dimensity 9300 Plus is expected to be seen first on the Vivo X100s and X100s Pro smartphones. The same chip will also power the Redmi K70 Ultra.
The Vivo X100s and X100s Pro are expected to pack the same specs that are available on the X100 and X100 Pro. However, apart from featuring the faster Dimensity 9300 Plus chip, the “S”-branded phones may arrive with some design upgrades. Both devices are expected to break cover in May in China. The two phones will likely remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
The Redmi K70 Ultra will also have the Dimensity 9300 Plus onboard. In the Chinese market, we expect this MediaTek chip-powered smartphone to compete with upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phones like the Realme GT 6, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, and the iQOO Neo 9s Pro.
The K70 Ultra is also expected to debut in May in China. The above-mentioned competitors may also launch around the same time in the home market.
