Apple iPhone Smartphones are world-famous premium smartphones favored by many. Ever since the first iPhone was launched in 2007, the brand has made significant progress and changes to its smartphones to cater to the needs of its users.
This article is a list of all the Apple iPhone smartphones launched to date.
The Apple iPhone
The first ever Apple iPhone smartphone was launched on the 29th of June 2007. The phone was 11.6mm thick and had a 3.5″ display. This device also offered 16GB internal storage to its users.
Apple iPhone 3G
iPhone 3G was launched on July 11, 2008, about one year after the launch of the first iPhone. The phone featured the same 3.5″ display. The device also offered 3G connectivity and came with the App Store. This phone was also thicker than the first iPhone with a 12.3mm thickness. The iPhone 3G also had a 2MP rear camera.
Later Apple also launched the Apple 3G(S).
Apple iPhone 4
The phone was launched on June 24, 2010, and Apple introduced Siri through the device. The device had a new design with a 3.5″ display. It was also less thick than the previous iPhones with a thickness of 9.3mm. The device also has a 5MP rear camera as well.
The Apple 4S was then launched on the 14th of October 2011 with an 8MP rear camera.
Apple iPhone 5
The iPhone 5 launched on September 21, 2012, brought 3 new updates to the device. With this iPhone, Apple introduced its lightning connectors. The device also had an internal storage of 1GB and supported LTE connectivity.
On the 30th of September, 2013, Apple also launched the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S
Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
In 2014 on September 19, Apple launched the iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6 Plus, and the iPhone 6S Plus. The smartphones featured a 5.5″ Retina HD display, had a 128 GB of storage space along with a 12MP camera.
Apple iPhone SE
The Apple iPhone SE was a much more affordable iPhone when compared to the iPhone 6. The device offered its users the best features except for the 3D touch which was there in the iPhone 6 and 6S. This phone was launched on 31st March 2016 and won the heart of iPhone lovers.
Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
It was from the Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus that Apple decided to take away the headphone jack. The device also offered a base variant with 16GB of internal storage along with 32GB and 256GB variants. The smartphones were launched on September 16, 2016.
Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus launched on the 17th of September 2017, featured a true-tone display along with a wireless charging feature and a glass cover of the phone. The device also offered its user’s photo filtering and photo editing features.
Apple iPhone X
The iPhone X was launched on the 3rd of November 2017. Apple with the iPhone X introduced the Face ID feature and took away the home button from the smartphone. The phone features a portrait mode, an extra front camera, and a much better resolution which made the phone well-received. Later Apple also launched the XS, XS Max, and the XR as well.
Apple iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max
The iPhone 11 series were released on the 20th of September 2019 with multiple cameras on the rear. The iPhone 11 had an 11MP + 12MP camera on the rear while the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max had a triple 12MP camera. This iPhone 11 Pro Max also became the most expensive iPhone to date.
Apple iPhone 12
The Apple iPhone 12 series were launched on the 23rd of October 2020 with the Apple iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Mini. Both phones featured an edge-to-edge Super Retina XDR display protected with ceramic shield glass. The devices were also powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chipset and has 5G connectivity.
Apple iPhone 13
In the year 2021 on September 24, Apple introduced the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The devices were powered by an A14 Bionic chipset and had a smaller-notch design.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max
The Apple iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are powered by Apple’s A16 Bionic Chipset. The notch design of both the phones is changed to something which Apple addresses as “Dynamic Island”. It features the front camera and the Face ID. The iPhone 14 Pro Max also has a 48MP rear camera instead of the 12MP camera. Both the devices also have Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via Satellite features with it as well.
