Honor 100, 100 Pro to feature Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, 8 Gen 2, reveals new leak
Honor is all set to announce the Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro smartphones on Nov. 23 in China. While the company has confirmed the design of the Honor 100 and 100 Pro, it is yet to reveal its key specifications. Rumours have circulated suggesting that the Honor 100 series is expected to feature a new Qualcomm chipset. A leaked image, which appears to be an internal document from the brand, has disclosed the chipsets employed in both smartphones.
The Chinese text shown in the above image translates to the Honor 100 featuring a third-generation Snapdragon 7-series chipset, while the Honor 100 Pro is equipped with a second-generation Snapdragon 8-series chipset.
Hence, it appears that the Honor 100 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. On the other hand, the Hono 100 seems to be equipped with the upcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which is yet to go official. If the Honor 100 really features the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, Qualcomm may unveil it a few days before the Honor 100 series.
As per reports, the Honor 100 and 100 Pro are equipped with a quad-curved OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The standard model has a single front-facing camera, whereas the 100 Pro features a pill-shaped cutout on the screen, which suggests that it has dual front-facing cameras.
The Honor 100 duo is equipped with an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel primary camera. Both phones are said to support 100W charging, but their battery sizes are not known yet.
