Without mentioning the name of the phone, DCS claimed that an upcoming flagship phone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will have an upgraded 50-megapixel primary camera and a cutting-edge 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. On the display front, the mysterious phone will have a BOE-supplied display that will support 3840Hz pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming and 2K resolution with low power consumption.
The device will also showcase a minor enhancement in the fast-charging solution for its battery, which will come from China’s Qinghai Salt Lake company. Although the tipster did not mention the name of the phone, the inclusion of a 3840Hz PWM-supported display is a good hint that he could be talking about an Honor phone.
To be precise, it could be the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate. The tipster added that the device is tentatively scheduled to launch by early 2024.
To recall, Honor unveiled the Magic 5 Ultimate in March this year in China. It comes with a 6.81-inch OLED 2K 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, a 5450mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging, a 12-megapixel front camera with a ToF sensor, and a 50-megapixel (main) + 50-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 50-megapixel (periscope) triple camera unit on the back.
