Honor’s Magic 6 Series and Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design Launched in China
Honor, one of the leading Chinese smartphone maker, has debuted three of its new smartphone devices in its home market. The Magic 6 series, as well as the Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design smartphones have been unveiled.

The vanilla Honor Magic 6 smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and has the Android 14 based MagicOS 8 custom skin onboard. The device has three storage options of 12GB/256GB, 16GB/256GB, and 16GB/512GB.
It features an LTPO OLED display panel, with a screen size of 6.78″, resolution of 1264 x 2800 pixels, and refresh rate of 120Hz. The display is also protected with a Jurhino glass.
Camera specs include a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary shooter, 32MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra wide lens. For selfies, there is a 50MP selfie camera.
A 5450 mAh battery is also backed within the device, which supports 66W wired charging feature, 50W wireless charging feature, reverse wireless charging feature, and 5W reverse wired charging feature.
About the price and availability, the 12GB/256GB, 16GB/256GB, and 16GB/512GB variants have pricings of CNY 4399, CNY 4699, and CNY 4999. All the models can be pre-booked now (starting from the 11th of January 2024, at 9:08 PM local time onwards) and the official sale starts a week later, on the 18th of January 2024, at 10:08 AM local time. Five color choices will be available for the device – Black, Green, Blue, Purple, White.
Honor Magic 6 Pro
The Honor Magic 6 Pro has also arrived equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with the Android 14 based MagicOS 8.0 out of the box. It will be offered in three storage configurations of 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.
For the display, the smartphone has an LTPO OLED display panel, with 6.8″ screen size, 1280 x 2800 pixels resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. Just like the vanilla model, the display is also protected with a Jurhino glass.
Coming to the cameras, at the rear, the smartphone sports a 50MP(main) + 180MP(periscope telephoto) + 50MP(ultrawide) triple camera unit, along with a front-facing camera of 50MP.
Regarding the battery, the device packs a larger 5600 mAh battery, with 80W wired fast charging feature, 66W wireless fast charging feature, reverse wireless charging feature, and 5W reverse wired charging feature.
The pre-sale of the Magic 6 Pro smartphone is also live in China, and had started with the vanilla Magic 6 model on the 11th of January 2024 yesterday, at 9:08 PM local time onwards. The official sale will be on the 18th of January 2024, a week later, starting from 10:08 AM local time. The 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB models will carry prices of CNY 5699, CNY 6199, and CNY 6699, and the five color variants of Black, Green, Blue, Purple, and White will be offered.
Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design
The Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design smartphone from Honor has the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and comes with the Android 13 based MagicOS 7.2 custom skin pre-installed in it. Only one storage option is available for the device with a RAM of 16GB and internal storage of 1TB.
An inner foldable 7.92″ LTPO OLED display with a 2156 x 2344 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, and a 6.43″ LTPO OLED cover display with a 1060 x 2376 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate are present on the device as well.
Regarding the cameras, the device sports a 50MP primary camera, along with additional 20MP telephoto and 50MP ultrawide lenses at the rear. At the front, a 16MP selfie camera is also there.
A 5000 mAh decent battery is there within the device, and the smartphone supports 66W wired and 5W reverse wired charging features.
As of now, Honor’s Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design is put up for sale (from 10.08 AM local time on the 12th January 2024), and the device has a price tag of CNY 15,999 (16GB/1TB).
