Honor’s Magic Vs2 Smartphone and Watch 4 Pro Smartwatch Launched in China: Pre-Orders Now Live

The Chinese smartphone and other consumer electronics manufacturer, Honor, has launched a new foldable smartphone and a new smartwatch in its home market in China. The pre-order for the two newly unveiled devices is already live.

The Magic Vs2 foldable smartphone is a 5G device and has arrived equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset having a primary clock speed of 3.0 GHz. The device is integrated with the Adreno 730 GPU and runs on the Android 13 based MagicOS 7.2 custom user interface.

For its displays, the smartphone features a 7.92″ foldable LTPO OLED inner display with a resolution of 2156 x 2344 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The device also has a 6.43″ LTPO OLED cover display with a 1060 x 2376 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Coming to its cameras, at its rear, the device has a triple camera unit within a projected rectangular-like shaped camera module, housing a 50MP main camera, 20MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. For selfies, there is also a 16MP punch-hole front-facing camera on both its inner and cover displays.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, GPS and other location positioning services, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC.

Regarding the battery, the smartphone packs a 5000 mAh battery supporting a 66W wired fast charging feature. The device also supports a 5W reverse wired charging feature as well.

Honor Watch 4 Pro

Honor’s Watch 4 Pro smartwatch runs on the MagicOS 7.2 itself and has a 1.5″ LTPO AMOLED display panel with a 464 x 464 pixels resolution. It also supports always-on-display(AOD) and is a 4G device supporting 2G, 3G, and 4G network connectivity.

It however doesn’t support Wi-Fi connectivity, but does support Bluetooth connectivity of version 5.2 and has NFC support(market dependent). Various location positioning services like GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO & QZSS, and also multiple sensors such as accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, barometer, compass & SpO2 sensor, are also supported on the device.

The smartwatch is also backed by a 480 mAh non-removable lithium polymer battery and supports a wireless fast charging feature.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor Magic Vs2 smartphone comes in two storage options – 12GB/256GB & 16GB/512GB, and the two models are priced CNY 6,999 and CNY 7,699 respectively. The device has three color choices and customers can pick the device in Black, Blue and Purple colors.

The Honor Watch 4 Pro smartwatch can be purchased in Black(with Black Body), Green(with Gold body) and Brown(with Silver body) colors. The Black color variant has a price tag of CNY 1,599, whereas the Green and Brown color variants will be available for CNY 1,799.

As mentioned, the pre-order for the latest devices is currently live in China, and had started from 8:30 PM on 12th October 2023. The first sale for the Watch 4 Pro will take place on the 16th of October, at 10:08 AM local time, and the Magic Vs2 smartphone will be made available for its first sale on 17th October, a day later, at 10:08 AM.
