Huawei can launch a new chipset named Kirin 830 with Nova 12 series

Last year when the tech world was buzzing with the speculations around Kirin’s return in 2023, Huawei denied any such speculations in official statements. Just recently we saw Huawei launching the Mate 60 series with Kirin 9000s platform contradicting earlier claims made by the company. Once again the Kirin chipset has come to notice because of a claim made by a Weibo user. A Chinese user wrote on Weibo that Huawei can launch a new Kirin 8 series chipset later this year(via GSMArena).

The Weibo user did not specify the name of the chip though, earlier leaks have claimed that Nova 12 can be powered by Kirin 830 chipset. As per the earlier reports Vanilla model can accompany the Kirin 830 chipset while the Pro model can come with Kirin 9000s.

Ever since the US has imposed sanctions on those companies that hold the patent and 5G technology from trading with Huawei it has posed a big challenge for the company in developing Kirin SoC. Though questions were raised when the company launched Kirin 9000s and same questions are being raised now.
