iQOO 12 5G officially confirmed to debut in India on December 12, to be available for purchase via Amazon

iQOO 12 series will be officially launching in the Chinese market on November 7. The series will be including two models- iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro. Recently the design and a few of the specifications of these upcoming smartphones were officially revealed by the brand while the devices were also spotted on the 3C certification website recently.

As per reports, it is said that the Pro model will only be launching in China while iQOO 12 will be making its way into the global markets. Now ahead of the official launch of this series in China, iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya has officially shared a poster on the X platform revealing that after China, iQOO 12 5G will be arriving in the Indian market on December 12.

The poster reveals that the brand will be unveiling a color variant in collaboration with BMW M Motorsport which means that the Indian users will get to see iQOO 12 5G device that incorporates the Blue, Red, and Black stripes of the brand. The poster also indicates that the device will be made available exclusively via Amazon.

iQOO 12 5G: Specifications

This device will be the first in India that will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC that is said to be paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Coming to the displays, it might feature an OLED display panel with a 6.78″ screen size and a 1.5K screen resolution. The device is also tipped to be equipped with an independent display gaming chip and a refresh rate support of up to 144Hz.

It is expected to be backed by a 5100mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. About the cameras, the device is said to feature a triple camera unit, and the camera module is expected to house a 50MP OmniVision OV50H main camera, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide camera, and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom capability. It is confirmed to arrive with a Q1 e-sports chip and the Chinese variant will run on OriginOS 4. Other than this the device is also said to arrive with an IR Blaster, dual stereo speakers, and an extra-large X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback.
