iQOO 12 Year of the Dragon Special Edition announced in China; iQOO 12’s 12GB/256GB price reduced by 200 Yuan

The smartphone brand iQOO unveiled its iQOO 12 series in its home country China in November while the iQOO 12 5G smartphone also made its debut in the Indian market last month.

Today the company has officially announced a new special edition of iQOO 12- iQOO 12 Year of the Dragon Special Edition in China.

This new variant is revealed to offer 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage and is priced at 3,999 Yuan in the Chinese market. This special edition will be going on sale on 12th January 2024. Previously iQOO 12 5G arrived in three storage variants- 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB while this new variant brings a fourth storage configuration for the smartphone. On the purchase of this special edition device, buyers will also get the benefit of 24 interest-free installments.

Apart from this, the company has also reduced the price of iQOO 12’s 12GB+256GB variant. Earlier this variant was priced at 3,999 Yuan but now the price has been reduced to 3,799 for a limited period.

iQOO 12 5G: Specifications

iQOO 12 smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and has the brand’s self-developed e-sports chip Q1 onboard. The device is also integrated with the Adreno 750 GPU and runs on the Android 14-based OriginOS 4 custom user interface. For its display, it has a flat AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.78″, a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels, and a refresh rate of 144Hz.

At its rear, a triple camera setup is present, housing a main camera of 50MP, a periscope telephoto camera of 64MP, and an ultrawide camera of 50MP. A front-facing camera of 16MP is also there for selfies. Regarding the battery, the smartphone packs a 5,000 mAh battery, which supports a fast charging feature of up to 120W.
