iQOO Neo 8, Neo 8 Pro tipped to arrive with these chipsets
Rumours have it that iQOO will announce the iQOO Neo 8 series in the second half of this year. The Neo 7 lineup, which debuted in Q4 2022, includes three phones, such as the iQOO Neo 7, the Neo 7 Racing Edition, and the Neo 7 SE. Hence, it seems that the Neo 8 series will also have multiple devices. A new Weibo post by Digital Chat Station reveals that the lineup will consist of the Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro. He also tipped the chipsets of both smartphones.
According to the tipster, the iQOO Neo 8 will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, whereas the iQOO Neo 8 Pro will arrive with the Dimensity 9200 Plus, which will be announced by MediaTek in near future.
He added that the Neo 8 Pro can rival phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Neo 8 duo will also have improvements in areas like the screen and the camera, the source said.
As per DCS’ Weibo post that was released yesterday, the Neo 8 Pro will offer 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It is also likely to compete with the Redmi K60 Ultra, which will feature the Dimensity 9200 SoC and will come out in the third quarter of this year. The Redmi flagship is rumoured to come with features like a 1.5K OLED display with a high refresh rate and 100W charging.
