iQOO Neo 9 bags 3C certification ahead of launch
At the end of November, iQOO confirmed that it would announce the iQOO Neo 9 series of sub-flagship phones in China. Since the brand is still silent on the launch date, it appears that the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro may debut by the end of this month. Reports have revealed that the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro have V2338A and V2339A model numbers, respectively. The Pro model was recently approved by the 3C authority of China, and now the standard variant has also been approved by the said certification platform.
iQOO Neo 9 likely to support 120W fast charging
The iQOO Neo 9’s 3C certification reveals that it may ship with a charger that supports up to 120W rapid charging. As can be seen in the above screenshot, the device has appeared with the model number V2338A in 3C’s database.
According to reports, the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro may pack similar specs, with both phones differing in departments like chipset and cameras. The Neo 9 is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, whereas the Pro model will have the Dimensity 9300 SoC. Both phones are likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery and support 120W fast charging.
At present, there is no information available about the cameras on the Neo 9. However, the Neo 9 Pro is expected to feature an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX920 primary camera. Both phones are expected to feature a 6.78-inch display that may support a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Both phones are expected to ship with the Android 14, with a layer of OriginOS 4 on top. Speculations are rife that the Neo 9 series may break cover on Dec. 27 in China.
