iQOO Z9, Z9 Turbo live shots appear before launch, key specifications revealed
On April 24, iQOO will announce the iQOO Z9x, Z9, and Z9 Turbo in China. Reports have revealed that the iQOO Z9 and Z9 Turbo will have nearly identical designs, but the Z9x will sport a different rear design. Ahead of the launch, a Chinese leaker shared some live shots of the Z9 and Z9 Turbo to showcase their design in real life. The leaker claims that the devices shown in the leaked shots are prototype units of the Z9 and Z9 Turbo.
The front of the iQOO Z9 and Z9 Turbo features a flat OLED display. On the back, both have a squircle camera module, which houses a dual-camera system.
The image showing the iQOO Z9 confirms that it will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, 12 GB of RAM, 12 GB of virtual RAM, and 512 GB of built-in storage. The device will draw power from a 6,000mAh battery.
The iQOO Z9 Turbo, on the other hand, features the more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, 16 GB of RAM, 16 GB of virtual RAM, and 512 GB of internal storage. It also packs a 6,000mAh battery and features a dedicated graphics chip for handling graphics. The Z9 Turbo will compete with the Redmi Turbo 3 phone in the Chinese market.
Both devices will run on OriginOS 4, based on Android 14. Shown above is an official poster released by the brand. It confirms that the Z9x, Z9, and Z9 Turbo will have an IP64-rated dustproof and water-resistant chassis.
