New Xiaomi Smartphone Appears on the BIS Database: May Arrive in India as Xiaomi 14 Lite
Xiaomi, one of the leading Chinese smartphone maker, has unveiled its flagship 14 series and three devices have already been unveiled. The Xiaomi 14T series has started to take place in reports and a smartphone that could be arriving as the Xiaomi 14 Lite device in India has made it to the BIS certification platform.

Alleged Xiaomi 14 Lite – BIS Certification
This upcoming Xiaomi smartphone carries the model number – “24053PY09I”, and has been granted or included in to the BIS database on the 7th of March 2024. No particular details regarding the smartphone nor its specs have been revealed via the database.
Do note that the model number of the respective device is similar to that of the upcoming Xiaomi Civi 4 smartphone’s(model number – “2405PY09C”) and it is possible that it may arrive in the Indian market branded as the “Xiaomi 14 Lite”. [However, do note that the previous Xiaomi 13 Lite was a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Civi 2 device.]
About the Xiaomi Civi 4 smartphone, this upcoming Xiaomi device is said to have received the Chinese MIIT certification and some of its expected key specs have already been shared online.
From what has been shared, it is understood that the next Xiaomi Civi 4 smartphone could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, and is likely to feature a curved-edged OLED display panel supporting a screen resolution of 1.5K and refresh rate of 120Hz. A 50MP main camera with OIS support and Leica branding might also be sported at the rear, whereas dual front-facing cameras can be expected for selfies. A decently large 5000 mAh battery is also possibly going to be equipped within it, and the device could be supporting a 90W wired fast charging feature.
