Nothing Phone (2a) Expected Design and Processor Revealed: May Launch at the MWC 2024 Event
Many updates and rumors regarding the possible upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) are being shared online, and a new report has revealed the expected design language and processor of the smartphone. The debut is also said to take place early next year.

Previously, an upcoming Nothing smartphone and its battery was spotted on the BIS certification platform of India and the device was speculated to be the Phone (2a) from the brand. Reports had also pointed out that the smartphone would feature a similar design when compared to the Phone (1) and may have a 6.7″ 120Hz display screen with a center-aligned punch-hole design.
Now, a new update points out that design-wise Nothing’s Phone (2a) would be entirely different from its two already-launched smartphones. Based on the renders shared, it is revealed that the device would likely have a circular camera module housing two cameras within an internal pill-shaped unit. The LED flashlight is seemingly placed at the top-right corner of the camera module.
Regarding the brand’s glyph interface, it appears to have been reduced to just three in numbers, all around the camera module. At the bottom, there is a particular design, probably resembling a transparent design pattern.
The tipster who had shared the design has also added that the device would bear the model number – “A142”, the same model number with which it was listed on BIS. It has also been mentioned that the smartphone would be carrying the codename – Pacman or Aero, (in brackets the tipster also added “Aerodactyl?”).
One more thing to note, unlike the previous Phone (1) and Phone (2) devices, the Phone (2a) is also tipped to be powered by the Dimensity 7200 chipset, the first MediaTek SoC on a Nothing smartphone. The Phone (2a) is also being expected to pack the largest ever battery on a Nothing smartphone with a total battery capacity of 4920 mAh.

About the launch, it could be debuted at the MWC Barcelona event in early 2024, and Nothing via a recent teaser had also confirmed something for 27th February next year with the tagline “Nothing to see”.
