Nubia Flip 5G receives 3C certification, launch imminent

Nubia is reportedly working on two foldable phones for the Chinese market: one with a horizontal fold and one with a vertical fold. As per the previously seen IMEI database listings, the former has the NX801J model number and the Nubia Z60 Fold. On the other hand, the vertically foldable model has the NX724J model number and the Nubia Flip 5G moniker. It appears that the company could be gearing up to launch the Flip 5G model as it has received approval from China’s 3C certification platform.

As can be seen in the above screenshot, the Nubia Flip 5G bearing the NX724J model number has appeared in 3C’s database. The listing reveals that the device may ship with a power adapter bearing the STC-A5111530AC model number. The charger is capable of offering up to 33W fast charging.

While the Nubai Flip 5G could be equipped with 33W fast charging, there is no word on whether it will support wireless charging. With 3C certification under the belt, it appears that the Flip 5G may go official in March in China.

Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the specifications of the Nubia Flip 5G. Hopefully, the upcoming reports will shed more light on the core specs of the device.

At present, there is no word on the launch timeframe of the Nubia Z60 Fold. A recent leak claimed that the device will have a 7.3-inch foldable AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 8-series chip, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB / 512 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging.
