OnePlus 12 camera samples released, tipped to launch in November
OnePlus recently confirmed the display details of the OnePlus 12 and Ace 3 smartphones for the Chinese market. It also revealed that the OnePlus 12 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, whereas the Ace 3 may come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC onboard. A new leak suggests that both phones may break cover in November in China. Ahead of the expected launch, OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis has released the camera samples of the OP12.
As per a Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 12 may launch in November in China. While he did not mention the Ace 3, it is unclear whether it will debut with OP12 or separately in December.
The leaker claimed that the OP12’s starting variant will have 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. To recall, the same variant was recently seen with a marvellous score of 2,110,808 on AnTuTu benchmarks. DCS also mentioned the 2K OLED display by BOE, a Sony IMX966 / LYT808 primary camera, a 5,400mAh battery, and 50W wireless charging as some of the key highlights of the OP12.
Shown above are the official camera samples of the OnePlus 12 released by none other than the OnePlus China President. However, he did not mention any of the camera specifications of the device. Apart from the recent OnePlus Open foldable phone, the OnePlus 12 is said to be the company’s first flagship phone with a periscope telephoto camera. This seems evident from the camera samples, which seem to showcase its optical zoom capabilities. As per reports, the rear camera setup of the OP12 will have a 50-megapixel IMX966 / LYT808 main camera, a 48-megapixel IMX581 ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope zoom camera.
