OnePlus Ace 2 Pro launch date officially confirmed, design revealed
OnePlus has finally confirmed the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro’s launch date for the Chinese market. The brand released the following poster to reveal that its next Ace-branded flagship phone will debut at 2:30 pm (local time) on Aug. 16 in the home market.
The poster released by the brand also confirms the rear design and colour variants of the Ace 2 Pro. As can be seen, the device will come in cyan and grey colours. The overall design of the phone is almost identical to the Ace 2, which was announced earlier this month in China. The Ace 2 Pro features a curved-edge AMOLED display on the front.
Reports have revealed that the device will feature a 6.74-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will run on the ColorOS 13.1-based Android 13. The Ace 2 Pro is confirmed to feature the largest heat dissipation seen on a smartphone.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will power the Ace 2 Pro. It is expected to arrive with 16 GB / 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. There is no word on the cameras or the battery capacity of the device. However, the device is expected to support 150W fast charging.
There are reports that the OnePlus 12R could be its rebranded version for the global market. However, considering that the 12R is expected to support 100W charging, it appears that there could be some differences between the two models.
