OnePlus Ace 3V likely to launch as the first Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 phone

At the beginning of this year, OnePlus launched the Ace 3 in China. The said device was rebranded as the OnePlus 12R in the global market. The company is also expected to unveil two more Ace models, such as the Ace 3V and Ace 3 Pro, in the coming months. The latter is said to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and is likely to launch in the second quarter of the year. As per a new leak, the Ace 3V may launch as the first Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3-powered smartphone.

One of the latest Weibo posts by Digital Chat Station suggests that OnePlus will be the first brand to launch a smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming chip that has the SM7675 model number. As per other reports, the US-based chip manufacturer is expected to announce the SM7675 in March. While the official name of the chip is not known, DCS has tentatively called it the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.

DCS claims that the chip bears the same architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As far as the Ace 3V is concerned, the leak suggests that it has a flat display and a big battery that offers exceptional battery life. With progress on the product well underway, it seems it will debut soon in the Chinese market. It can be said based on the leaks that the Ace 3V may go official in March in China.

To recall, last year, OnePlus released a tweaked version of the Ace 2V on the global market as the OnePlus Nord 3. Therefore, it is plausible that the upcoming Nord 4 or 5 destined for the global market could bear similarities to the Ace 3V. As per reports, the 3V has an OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging support.
