OnePlus Open Colour Variants Revealed: To Launch as the First Real Competitor for the Galaxy Z Fold 5

The Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, OnePlus, was expected to launch its very first foldable device this month, in the month of August, but due to some reasons, the launch has been delayed. As of now, the device is likely to be launched by the end of September or by early October 2023.

Ahead of the launch, the colour variants of the upcoming foldable have been revealed and we’ll get to see the device in two colours.

OnePlus Open Colour Variants

This update comes from a tipster on the Twitter platform, Max Jambor, who has tipped that the upcoming OnePlus Open, OnePlus’ very first foldable device, will be made available in two colour choices of Voyage Black and Emerald Eclipse. The name itself indicates that one will be a Black colour variant and the other is a green colour variant.

The tipster has also added that OnePlus’ foldable device will be the first real competitor that is to be launched in the global market to compete with Samsung’s latest Galaxy Z Fold 5. OPPO’s Find N3 and the Honor Magic V2 are two of the other anticipated foldable devices that are to arrive in the global market soon.

Speaking about other updates, recently a OnePlus power adapter was spotted on the BIS certification platform and it is likely that it could be the power adapter for the upcoming foldable. The OnePlus Open has also been filed for a trademark in India as well.

Regarding the specifications, based on recent updates, we expect the device to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and might offer a RAM of upto 16GB along with an internal storage of upto 256GB. The device is also likely to feature a 7.8″ inner foldable display and a 6.3″ cover display. At its rear, OnePlus foldable is probably also going two sport a triple camera setup with two 48MP cameras and a 64MP telephoto camera. About the battery backup, the upcoming device may pack a 4,800 mAh battery which supports a 67W fast charge feature.
