OPPO A98 5G bags NBTC, CQC certifications, expected to launch soon
The OPPO A98 5G could be the next A-series phone for the global market. The NBTC and CQC certification platforms in Thailand and China, respectively, have both certified the aforementioned device. These certifications hint that the A98 5G may go official in a couple of weeks.
The NBTC certification of the OPPO A98 5G has revealed only a few things about it. First, it shows that it has the model number CPH2529 and that it supports 5G connectivity.
The CQC listing reveals that the OPPO A98 5G will arrive with support for 67W fast charging. In addition, the device has also been spotted at the HTML5 Test and Indonesia’s TKDN certification. The HTML5 Test listing revealed that it runs on Android 13 OS.
At present, there is no information on the specifications of the OPPO A98 5G. In November 2022, OPPO unveiled the OPPO A1 Pro 5G as the company’s most advanced A-series phone in the Chinese market. It was speculated at that time that the device may launch outside of China with the OPPO A98 5G moniker.
The OPPO A1 Pro 5G has a 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 695 chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It has a 16-megapixel front camera and a 108-megapixel (main) + 2-megapixel (depth) dual-camera system. It runs on the ColorOS 13-based Android 13 OS.
