POCO X6 Pro 5G NBTC certified, could be rebranded version of the Redmi K70e
POCO is reportedly working on the Poco X6 series of smartphones. The rumoured lineup includes three models, such as the POCO X6 Neo 5G, the POCO X6 5G, and the POCO X6 Pro 5G. Back in June, Xiaomiui came across two Poco smartphones in the IMEI database, the first one having 2311DRK48G and 2311DRK48I model numbers for global and Indian markets, whereas the other one having 23113RKC6G and 23113RKC6I model numbers for global and India, respectively. The publication speculated that the 2311DRK48G/I and 23113RKC6G/I will debut as POCO F6 5G and POCO F6 Pro 5G, respectively. It added that these will be rebranded versions of the China-bound Redmi K70 and K70 Pro, respectively. In a new development, the 2311DRK48G POCO phone has now received approval from the NTBC authority in Thailand, and it reveals that it will arrive on the market as a POCO X6-series phone. Continue reading to learn its correct name and the expected specifications.
As can be seen in the above screenshot, the upcoming POCO X6 Pro 5G has obtained official certification from Thailand’s NBTC authority, specifying the device’s model number as 2311DRK48G.Additionally, a recent GSMChina report corroborates this information, noting that the device with the same model number, 2311DRK48G, is listed in the IMEI database under the POCO X6 Pro 5G name.
The Indian variant of the POCO X6 Pro 5G with model number 2311DRK48I was spotted at BIS certification at the beginning of this month. In addition, the Chinese variant of the device bearing the 2311DRK48C model number will launch as the Redmi K70e on Nov. 29 in China. So, it can be concluded that the Redmi K70e will be rebranded as the POCO X6 Pro 5G in other markets, including India.
The Redmi K70e is expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will feature the Dimensity 8300-Ultra chip, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 90W charging. It will arrive with a 16-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. It will have other features, such as HyperOS-based Android 14 and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Contrary to recent reports, the Redmi K70e 5G will not be rebranded as the POCO F6 5G. Usually, POCO phones are rebranded versions of existing Redmi phones. So, what will be the identity of the POCO F6 5G? To recall, POCO’s global division confirmed in August that it is working on a Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset-powered smartphone.
There is a possibility that this device could be a tweaked version of the D9200+ powered Redmi K60 Ultra. However, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know the exact details of the POCO F6 5G.
