Realme 12 Pro+ 5G spotted on SIRIM certification website; launch seems imminent

The smartphone brand Realme is currently said to be working on the Realme 12 Pro series and is expected to unveil the series soon in China as well as global markets. The series includes two models- Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G. Recently the devices have been spotted on TDRA and BIS certification websites.

Today our team at The Tech Outlook spotted Realme 12 Pro+ 5G on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification website with model number RMX3840 and type approval code RGQL/05G/1223/S (23-5779).

Except for the moniker and model number, the database does not reveal much about the upcoming device. But since these devices have started bagging different certifications the launch of these upcoming smartphones seems imminent. It is expected that the Realme 12 Pro series will make its debut in the first quarter of 2024.

Realme 12 Pro series: Specifications (expected)

According to reports, the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will continue to feature a curved-edge OLED panel that produces an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, both devices are expected to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.

The Realme 12 Pro’s rear camera setup is expected to feature a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with support for 2x optical zoom. On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro+ may arrive with a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
