Realme has launched yet another smartphone from the Realme 12 series in its home country, called Realme 12X. This smartphone is also expected to be launched in other markets, including India. However, Realme India hasn’t shared any details about it so far.
One thing that we discovered here is that this smartphone is launched with the model number RMX3993. However, the global variant has a different model number, which is RMX3997 as per its listing on Bluetooth SIG.
So it would be interesting to know if Realme will launch this smartphone globally with the same specs or not.
Pricing and Availability
As per the official listing, this smartphone has two variants: 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB with extra 12GB of virtual RAM. You will get two color options: bluebird and black jade. Coming to the 256GB storage variant is priced at ¥1399(Actual Price ¥1499), while the 512GB variant is priced at ¥1599(Actual Price ¥1799). The phone is currently available for pre-reservation with a ¥100 discount on 256GB and ¥200 discount on 512GB. Realme 12X will go on sale in China from April 1st, 2024.
Specs
Starting with the screen size, it features a 6.67″ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate offering eye protection and a peak brightness of 625 nits. Realme is positioning this smartphone as a slim device with a thickness of 7.89mm and a weight of 190g. Now, the main highlight: it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor and comes with a 12GB+12GB (Virtual RAM) configuration. Realme has launched this smartphone with Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out of the box. It also comes with a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging capability.
Realme is offering a 50-megapixel Dual AI main rear camera and an 8-megapixel front selfie shooter. This smartphone is also IP54 certified and comes with a side fingerprint scanner.
