Realme GT 5 Pro officially confirmed to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, camera specifications revealed

Qualcomm has just introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile chipset, and several Chinese smartphone brands have quickly announced their plans to release flagship phones powered by this new chip. Today, Realme confirmed that its upcoming flagship phone, the Realme GT 5 Pro, will feature the new chip.

In August, Realme announced the Realme GT 5 flagship phone for the Chinese market. The device features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a chip that was announced last year. The Realme GT 5 Pro will be a more powerful device since it will feature the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The brand is yet to disclose the other features of the device.

While Realme confirmed the chipset that powers the GT 5 Pro, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed details about its camera specifications. According to the leaker, the GT 5 Pro will be equipped with a Sony IMX966 primary camera, which is also said to be available on the OnePlus 12.

The main camera will be coupled with an IMX581 ultra-wide lens and an IMX890 telephoto camera, which is expected to offer 3x optical zoom. Previous leaks claimed that the GT 5 Pro would feature a periscope telephoto camera. However, it now appears that the company has decided to use a telephoto camera instead of a periscope zoom snapper on the device.

The leaker also revealed that the Realme GT 5 Pro will have a curved-edge OLED display, which will offer a 1.5K resolution. Previous leaks have revealed that the device will be equipped with a BOE-supplied screen. It remains to be seen whether the phone features the latest BOE X-series 1.5K resolution
