Realme GT 5 Pro officially confirmed to launch in November
Realme has been building anticipation for the launch of the Realme GT 5 Pro in China with a series of teasers in recent days. Notably, the phone has secured crucial certifications, including TENAA and 3C, signalling that its release is imminent. Today, the brand has made it official by confirming that the phone will indeed be unveiled within this month (November) in the country.
The Realme GT 5 Pro, which is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, will be positioned higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Realme GT 5, which was announced in August of this year. It is speculated that the GT 5 Pro could be priced at around 4,000 Yuan (~$550).
Recent teasers released by the brand so far have revealed that it will feature an OLED panel that offers up to 3,000 nits of brightness and a large heat dissipation unit with a 10,000mm² surface area. It is speculated to feature the same LYT-T808 primary camera, which is confirmed to be available on the OnePlus 12 that is expected to launch this month in the country.
As per reports, the Realme GT 5 Pro has a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The device will have a 32-megapixel front camera, and a 50-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 50-megapixel (periscope telephoto, with 2.7x optical zoom) triple camera unit. It will run on Realme UI 5-based Android 14.
The GT 5 Pro is expected to come with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It may arrive with a 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Realme GT 5 Pro is also expected to be released in the global market. In all likelihood, its global launch will be held in the first half of 2024.
