[Update: Rear design] Realme GT 5 spotted in real at 2023 China Joy

Update: Tipster WhyLab has released another image showcasing the rear view of the Realme GT 5, which appears to be an exact match with the earlier leaked render by OnLeaks / MySmartPrice. The new image confirms the model number RMX3820, which was previously speculated to be the GT Neo 6.

The back of the phone is highlighted by two camera rings, indicating the presence of a three-camera setup. Adjacent to this camera arrangement is a vertical LED flash. Notably, on the right side of the flash, there is an intriguing RGB light along with a semi-transparent section like the Realme GT Neo 5, adding a unique touch to the design. This feature could serve various purposes, such as acting as a notification light or simply enhancing the device’s aesthetics.

Realme has set up a booth at the 2023 China Joy, which is currently being held in Shanghai, China. A new image from the event reveals the very first look at the front design of the Realme GT 5. However, in the image below, the device is kept in a thick case, making it difficult to properly see the front design.

The Realme GT 5’s live shots suggest that it could be equipped with very narrow bezels. The right edge of the phone has a volume rocker and a power key. As per reports, the device will be equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner.

The other image released by the brand through its Weibo handle confirms the name of the device. The company is also expected to announce the Realme GT 5 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip by the end of 2023 or early in 2024.

Coming back to the Realme GT 5, it is expected to come in 4,600mAh and 5,200mAh battery variants. These models are expected to support 240W and 150W fast charging, respectively.

The Realme GT 5 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The SoC will be paired with 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will have a 16-megapixel camera on the front, and its back panel will feature a Sony IMX890 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
