Realme GT Neo 5 Pro to arrive with 5,200mAh battery, 150W charging support

The Realme GT Neo 5 Pro is said to be the next smartphone for the Chinese market. The rumour mill has been gradually leaking information about what appears to be Realme’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphone. In a new leak, tipster Digital Chat Station leaked the battery size and charging capabilities of the device.

The provided screenshot reveals that DCS has disclosed important information about an upcoming Realme smartphone that will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Instead of stating the name of the chip, the leak specifically mentions its part number, SM8550, indicating that the tipster is referring to the upcoming Realme GT Neo 5 Pro.

The leak reveals that the Realme GT Neo 5 Pro will pack a 5,200mAh (typical value) dual-cell battery. He also added that the device will support 150W fast charging. In a previous leak, the tipster claimed that the device would support 100W charging. Hence, there is a possibility that, like the Realme GT Neo 5, which came in 150W and 240W charging options in China, the upcoming Pro model may also arrive in 150W and 100W charging variants.

Earlier this month, two Realme phones with model numbers RMX3820 and RMX3820 were certified by the MIIT authority in China. In all likelihood, these could be the two charging variants of the GT Neo 5 Pro. Other reports have revealed that the device will arrive with a 6.74-inch OLED 144Hz display with support for a 1.5K resolution and 2160Hz PWM dimming, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage, and an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 triple camera system.
