Realme GT Neo 5 SE moniker confirmed, launch imminent
Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 chipset (SM7475) on March 17 in China. After that, companies like Redmi, Realme, Vivo, OPPO, and Honor are likely to make new phones with the chipset mentioned above. Reports have revealed that the Realme GT Neo 5 SE will be one of the first phones to feature it. Today, Realme rolled out a poster through its Weibo account to officially confirm the name of the device.
The Realme GT Neo 5 SE is expected to arrive as a toned-down version of the Realme GT Neo 5, which debuted last month as the world’s first phone with 240W charging. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1-powered Neo 5 also features an attractive C-shaped RGB light unit on the back, which glows for notifications.
Recently, China’s 3C and TENAA authorities certified the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, which has the model number RMX3700. Being an inferior version, the GT Neo 5 SE will offer only 100W charging and lack an RGB light unit.
The GT Neo 5 SE is expected to feature a 6.74-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. It will run on the Realme UI 4.0-based Android 13 OS. It will pack a 5,500mAh battery and come equipped with a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera setup.
Speculations are rife that the device may go official by early April in China. At present, there is no word on the global launch of the device.
