Realme’s 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ Smartphones Spotted on the BIS Certification Platform
Realme, one of the leading Chinese consumer electronics manufacturers, very recently launched its flagship performance smartphone – the GT 5 Pro in China, and two of the other flagships that are yet to be unveiled and rumored to be in the works – the 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ smartphones have been certified by the BIS certification authority of India.

Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ BIS Certification
The upcoming Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ smartphones have made their appearance on India’s BIS certification platform with model numbers “RMX3842” and “RMX3840” respectively. The devices were included or granted the BIS listing on the 8th of December 2023.
The device with the model number “RMX3840” (now claimed to be the Realme 12 Pro+) had also previously appeared on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification platform, and it received the certification with the certificate number 95520/SDPPI/2023. It has been listed with the PLG ID 6813, along with the C67 smartphone bearing the model number RMX3890.
Do keep in mind to take this report with a pinch of salt as the monikers of the RMX3842 and RMX3840 devices have not yet been confirmed.

Speaking about some of the other updates, the two Realme devices are expected to come equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. The Realme 12 Pro is likely to have a 32MP Sony IMX709 2x telephoto camera. On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro+ device may probably sport a better 64MP OmniVision OV64B 3x periscope telephoto camera. These mid-range flagships are also said to have a price of around CNY 2,000.

As mentioned, the brand very recently launched the flagship GT 5 Pro device in the Chinese market, and the GT Neo 5 SE smartphone was listed as the best-performing sub-flagship smartphone on AnTuTu.
The official version of the Realme UI 5.0 custom skin was also released in China, and the latest Realme C67 5G smartphone is set to launch this month in the Indian market. Also to add, the Pad 2 tablet is again back on sale in India, at an exciting price point.
