Redmi K60 Ultra: Leaked Specs and Launch Window for Xiaomi’s Upcoming Device
Redmi, a sub-brand of Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, is expected to launch a new device in the K60 series called the K60 Ultra. Digital Chat Station, a Chinese tipster, has shared some key information about the device in a Weibo post.
According to the tipster, the Redmi K60 Ultra will feature an AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K pixels, supporting a high refresh rate of 144Hz. It will also be equipped with a metallic frame for a strong texture. The device is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC, which is a slight downgrade from the K60 Pro’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
The battery capacity of the K60 Ultra is currently unknown, but it will reportedly support 100W fast charging, which is a slight decrease from the 120W charging speed of the K50 Ultra. The device is expected to be launched in the third quarter of this year, between July to September.
There is no additional information about the Redmi K60 Ultra at the moment, but the leak suggests that it will be positioned between the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro. Last year, a tweaked version of the Redmi K50 Ultra was released globally as the Xiaomi 12T Pro, so it’s possible that the K60 Ultra may only be exclusive to the Chinese market, with a rebranded or tweaked version launching in other markets as the Xiaomi 13T Pro.
Overall, while the details about the Redmi K60 Ultra are still limited, the leak suggests that it will be a device with impressive features, including a high refresh rate display and fast charging capabilities. With the expected launch window in the third quarter, we can expect more details to surface in the coming months.
