Redmi K70 series launch date officially confirmed
After weeks of anticipation, Redmi has finally confirmed the Redmi K70 series launch date. The brand revealed through a Weibo post today that it will hold an unveiling event at 7 pm (local time) on Nov. 29 in China to announce the K70 lineup. As reports have revealed, the lineup will comprise three models, namely the Redmi K70e, the Redmi K70, and the Redmi K70 Pro.
The Redmi K70e is already confirmed to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra chip. It will arrive as a successor to last year’s Redmi K60e, which featured the Dimensity 8200-Ultra SoC.
The Redmi K70 and K70 Pro will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series of chipsets. While the K70 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the K70 Pro will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip onboard. These devices will succeed the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro, which featured the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets, respectively.
The image shown above, which confirms the launch date of the K70 lineup, also teases its design language. It suggests that the device will have a raised camera module, which will house three cameras and an LED flash. It appears that the brand will release several more teasers of the K70 series to confirm its key specifications before the official launch.
The Redmi K70 series is expected to get rebranded as Poco models in the global market in the first quarter of 2024. While the K70 Pro may remain exclusive to the Chinese market, the K70e and K70 may get rebranded as the Poco F6 5G and Poco F6 Pro 5G globally.
